Hope Life International (HLI) is a charitable organization that was established in 2004, The Gambia, West Africa, to help the victims of poverty, diseases, natural disaster, starvation, alleviating pains, sufferers of human rights in the communities by caring, improving health and quality of life of people in West Africa, Africa and rest of the world.
Over the last 30 years, worldwide absolute poverty has fallen sharply (from about 40% to under 20%). But in African countries the percentage has barely fallen. Still today, over 40% of people living in Sub-Saharan Africa live in absolute poverty and not much improvement. Poverty is the principal cause of hunger in Africa and elsewhere.
People do not have sufficient income to purchase enough food. Conflict, drought, illiteracy, malnutrition to mention but few. Often time it is the children who suffer the most, Infancy mortality rate is overwhelming, over 70% of children suffer from malnutrition. The needs of people are great, and at times the dream to change the future are seems daunting.
However, Hope Life International exists to do just that- help rescue the hopeless initiate programs that would transforms community lives through the hard work of staff members and consistent support of individual advocate’s organizations, government and international partners.
